Job Mission

As member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, take a driving an coordinating role in designing a best in class future end-state of the process and tooling landscape for Financial Planning within ASML and a roadmap to achieve this. Actively drive and coordinate the implementation of the roadmap in the process and tooling landscape, enabling Business Control and Financial Planning and Analysis to provide Senior Management with timely and high quality historical and forward-looking information and recommendations.

Job Description

The Financial Planning Expert takes a coordinating role in driving for future proof processes and tooling to support the long-term financial plan, corporate global annual budget cycle and monthly financial reviews, ensuring high quality planning information in terms of relevance, content, accuracy and timeliness.
You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement through initiating and executing changes together with subject matter experts involved in the processes and IT which enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial planning information, tools, processes, analysis and organization. Further, you will enable preparation of Financial Planning & Analysis presentations for Senior Management, the Board of Management and the Executive Board.


To qualify for this challenging position you need an academic degree in Business Economics (or similar).


You have at least 10 years relevant working experience in a Business Control, Business Intelligence or FP&A environment and demonstrated experience in managing complex financial processes and tools in an international environment. Further, you have extensive experience with planning applications and related tools.

You have the ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Context of the position

The Financial Planning & Analysis organization plays a key role in ASML’s overall Finance organization. The Finance Business Intelligence Specialist reports to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and interacts with controllers of the business lines, sectors, group functions, regions across the globe, IT, project management and the decision support group.
This position has high visibility both within and outside the Finance department.
The ASML Finance department operates in a dynamic environment where learning, commitment, business partnering, flexibility and continuous improvement are top of mind. We are responsible for driving cost effective transactional, fiscal and financial processes on a global scale, supporting business decisions, financial planning, action management, risk mitigation and maintaining appropriate corporate governance practices.
