Job Description

As a Senior Applications Engineer at ASML San Jose, you will develop applications for e-beam defect inspection and metrology. Each day will offer a variety of challenging and exciting tasks for you to tackle, including but not limited to:

·Conduct customer engagement projects to demonstrate and improve the performance of our products in house or customer sites.

·Provide technical interface between customer and ASML-HMI to identify technical requirements and drive engineering development in headquarter.


- M.S. in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, and/or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in applications engineering ideally in semiconductor environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of CD/overlay metrology, defect inspection and/or semiconductor process.
- Hands-on experience with CDSEM and reviewing SEM as well as hands-on experience with SEM and/or optical metrology system.
- Strong English Communication skills – both written and oral.
- Insight into leading-edge chipmakers’ needs in terms of device design, process monitoring and control
- Must able to work independently and also effectively as a member of a team.
Ability/willingness to travel ~ 30% both international and domestic.

Preferred Skills/Education/Experience
- Ph.D. degree in E.E., Physics and/or Chemical Engineering
- Experience in IC manufacturing, semiconductor process technology, and related fields
