In ASML’s Research department, new concepts and applications are being invented and designed for future markets of lithography and metrology in various fields of semiconductor manufacturing.

In the area of sensors and metrology, innovative approaches for sensor data processing and parameter inference are being generated within the framework of machine learning.

Job Mission

Execute high-level research with application to advanced statistical methods and machine-learning (ML) for parameter inference from sensor signals.

Job Description

Like all sciences at ASML, Statistics and Machine Learning is stretched to the extreme. It is inspired by the huge challenges of building large physics based systems with nanometer precision.

This research position is directed towards machine-learning for complex sensor signal processing and parameter inference. The research will be carried out within a multi-disciplinaryproject-team with a clear mission to creategenuine breakthroughs in sensor analytics.


We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with PhD in Computer Science, Statistical Physics or alikeand with at least 4 years Machine Learning experience in academic or industrial context.


Few years of experience in application of machine learning for parameter inference, preferably in the area of sensor signal processing.
